If you missed the launch of this fascinating travelling exhibition last night, don't worry, it's on at the Mill Park Library until the end of August. It was great, though, to have the curator Steve Grimwade there to go through the panels with us. It's a reminder of our vibrant literary history in Victoria. Mill Park Library is very lucky to be one of the chosen libraries in Victoria to have the exhibition, so please don't miss it.
There are two fantastic free workshops being run in conjunction with this travelling exhibition at Mill Park Library:
Express Media presents this Wednesday 4 August 6.30pm - 8.30pm. Join Arnold Zable (author of Café Scherazade and a literary treasure in his own right) Getting it down: basic steps to becoming a writer. This is a not-to-be missed writing event for young and emerging writers. Please book as numbers are limited.
The Victorian Writers' centre presents novelist Sallie Muirden (A Woman of Seville) next Wednesday 11 August 6.30pm-9.30pm, join another living treasure, as she takes a workshop, Writing fiction: frustrations and pitfalls for first time novelists. Again, bookings are essential.
BUT THERE'S MORE!
Special treasures are travelling to Mill Park. Stay tuned ...
